Some Clarification...

I realize my last post was a bit negative, and I should clarify. I wrote that as I was alone for the first time with sole responsibility for both girls. I'm the one that sent Mike home to get some sleep. I had a "Parent Room" at the hospital which meant that the girls had caretakers but I didn't. I wasn't sure how far their care overlapped and where the line was drawn. Thankfully about and hour and a half after posting the new nurse came in and explained that, and was very helpful. There was only 1 nurse that I found unhelpful the entire time we stayed at the hospital, and in fact all of the rest were great....

I guess that' s what I get for posting in a hormone filled, sleep reduced state.
Oh well.

Liz, don't feel bad about "being negative." You're not being negative. You are experiencing a major hormonal flux combined with the sudden unimaginable weight of being responsible for these two little fragile creatures. It feels devastating when your baby isn't feeding properly, things aren't going "smoothly," or when it all gets confusing. You can cry, you can moan, you can complain. Us mothers understand and support you.

It is going to be wild for a few months & you will be overjoyed, scared sh*tless, exhausted, elated and every emotion in between. It gets better and easier with every month that goes by.
